Ju-52?

Will the Ju-52 (correct designation?) aka the Iron Annie ever be added as a german transport plane or will a german skin for the C47 be added?

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

HTC won't allow captured aircraft as skins in the game, so no LW C-47 I'm afraid. As for the Ju-52, I can't see it being a priority but you never know.

C-47 is slow, but Ju52 is SLOWER. If the C-47 tops out at 230 on WEP, and 200 without, the Ju52 tops out at around 150mph.

Yes, 150mph. About 60mph above landing speed, I bet (*wild guess*). It's a 1930s plane and it shows!

To make up for the slow speed the Ju52 has a MG to defend itself.

I would not trade 40mph for a single 7.92mm machine gun when being attacked by things like Fw190A-8s, Mosquito Mk VIs, P-47s, N1K2-Js and La-7s.

^-- what he said

Especially considering you have less speed with which to pull heavy-G turns and evade enemy fire with!

Great then we can lower the eny value of the goon. That way horde monkeys have to fly a slower transport.

Instead of adding a transport we could add a feature for a way of making the troops walk their lazy rear-ends to a base. We do all that flyin and get shot at and what not, all they do is run into a room and stand around in there untill it fills up, then they move else where on the base.(Bet you didn't know thats how captures work, did ya)

On a non-sarcastic note maybe add a faster transport beacause, speed is a defence. Examples are:
British Avro York, Carried comparable load to c-47 and fly at 290mph, entered service in 1944.Modified version of lancaster, which could ease modelling constraints.

C-46, Primary American transport in PTO. speed only slightly better at 269mph. Had a nice comfy pressurized cabin though.

C-54, small cargo space (7-15 passengers) 300mph

Transports really are towards the bottom of things we could use  especially more allied ones, but I have not really seen too many axis transports that would be any better than the c-47.

The Savoia - Marchetti SM.75 Marsupiale might be a good axis transport.

Powerplant: three 560kW (750hp) Alfa Romeo AR.126 RC34 radial engines
Performance: max speed 363km/h (225mph); range 1720km (1070 miles); service ceiling 6250m (20,500ft)
Armament/Payload: one 7.7mm (0.303in) machine gun; 18 passengers

Or we can get the He-111 and have a bomber option and transport option :D
