Does not happen often...

but one of our squadies earned the Nipping Nifty Award. Congratulations Lucky! for shooting down another squadie. The award is named after Nifty who had a reputation for shooting down fellow squadies.
In the first pic you can see TeeeRex off the left wing of Lucky and below. About his 8 o'clock.

The 2nd pic shows TeeeRex just about directly below Lucky as he has been moving from left to right underneath Lucky just the moment Lucky released his bombs.

The last pic is outside of TeeeRex's Ju-88's with one bomb a fraction of a second before it strikes his left wing. Unfortunately the film did not record the explosions that blew up all three aircraft. There one moment gone the next.

I remember this happening to APDrone if I recall. Anyone else know of this happening?

It's happened in my squad.

Thanks for the pic's DD. Always interesting to see our boys suffer some of the same problems that happened in WWII.

Yes, I remember seeing a picture of a B-24 getting hit by a bomb from another right above it. If I recall the bomb did not explode because it was not armed yet. Might be wrong on that point. But it took off the wing.

Yep, that's the one.

I think it was Tracerx, dropping on Solar. Might be wrong about Solar.

LMAO  You should have given the award to TeeRex for flying Under a bomb bay :rofl

Hey, who was it that started a Race with a Tank, and blew up the starting line?

I have seen that clip.  Many people confuse that as a direct hit by flack gun, but you can just barely make out the bomb as it strikes the wing root.  Nice film capture there Daddog.  I am suprised he entire formation was lost.

A certain member of the 68th famously wiped out half the squad as we lined up on the runway by absent-mindedly launching with his finger on the trigger.

Much good-humored abuse has ensued since.

I think I might know who you were talking about.

Heck most of the time we didnt feel like we accomplished anything if we didnt kill at least one of our own.  :rofl

Things are pretty good.  Staying really busy with work and the drum corps thing.  Gonna try to get the computer hooked up to AH again and see if it will run it.  I have a feeling that I am going to need an upgrade.  I tried to connect a few months ago and couldnt connect so I probably need to change some settings on my router but I didnt have time to do it then and havent really tried to set it since then.  Probably some ports that I have to open up or something.  Its been a long long time....I doubt I can kill anybody now.

Man, I'm staying away from Tracey in the arenas from now on.

B-17 lost part of a stabilizer/elevator to a bomob hit, much like the B-24 did it's wing.  If I recall correctly, it was the right stab that got knoced off.  Imagine being the tail and right waist gunners when that happened?
