Just made it so that there's four Thunderbolts and four 109s:

The Jugs bit works, not sure about the 109s yet.  Have fun  :D

Here is a list of the planes and their corresponding numbers.  I also put a key at the bottom of the list.  Remember to back-up your originals first.

http://www.esnips.com/doc/322e7b00-01af-498d-8973-53b55a0b5856/planelistforoffmis

There are 2 missions in the files, east and west. you can change either or both and you can have your wingman in a different plane from your's.

Good luck,  :aok

EDIT: don't worry about the coordinates.  That is something else I have been working on.  Changing them with multiple aircraft moves them all the same, so they are still on top of each other during the opening merge.

2nd EDIT: it should be noted that Yossarian did the bulk of the leg work on this list.  Thanks Yossarian :aok

Finally got up, used several textbook merge techniques.  Got pwned promptly.  That was sure fun.

i found that too.....i climb now as soon as i'm warped to the engagement area......so i'm coalt to him, rather than 1 or 2 k below. i dive under him, and pull at about 1.5k out, and he tries to come up to me.....then it's on from there. what i find hard though is the verticle scissors he seems to like.....i work the crap outta my throtle, flaps, and rudder, but slmost seem to spend the time in partial blackout trying to keep him in sight. he almost always takes it to the deck too.....i'm doing about 50-50 win lose against him now......

Eagler, there's a lot of mixed up information in this topic: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,230614.30.html.

From one of hub's posts on pg 4:
196608,10,4,94,93,0.000000,0.000000,0.000000,78774.522643,0.000000,-68214.061304,53,0.000000

Number of wingmen
Wingman Plane #
Your Plane #

EDIT: Several of my missions have worked quite well, but I'm having trouble with planes disappearing/blowing up around when they leave the runway (or somewhere on it, etc).

Thanks, and on that topic, I just made a mission with 4x A-20Gs and 4x Mosquitos on the 'Allied' side, and 4x Ju-87s and 4x Ju-88s on the 'Axis' side.  Now, for whatever reason, one set of planes has been blowing up at/near the base each time (I think), but it's still great fun.  Also, when on the Axis side, I accidentally flew in a P-51 in the film.  I've fixed this (probably) in the mission file.

Here's the mission file:
http://www.esnips.com/doc/2e93acf5-75d5-4f2b-ac67-6e9ed6848097/a20mossieju88

And the first film (I flew in a P-51 by accident in this one...):
http://www.esnips.com/doc/75ce0e16-7fa3-4b0d-b808-a0f173f947c2/AvA1-flying-axis-P51

This is the second, I was in an A-20G  :D :D , but all the Mosquitoes blew up/vanished on takeoff  :cry :
http://www.esnips.com/doc/870b02ac-1254-484d-9428-e71a3112dfd6/AvA1-flying-Allied-A20

Have fun!  :D

The Friendly AI are making a B Line for the first waypoint, from the runway spawn.

..maybe if we could setup the first waypoint on the same heading as the runway is pointed.

Not sure how to do that...I've just made a C-47 and RV-8 mission  and I'll mess around with that a bit now.

I remember in AW, you could command your flight to do certain functions, Form Up, Attack Fighters, Attack Bombers and such.

Those offline mission's were pretty huge, multiple flights patrolling or attacking different areas.

You could create your own in there as well.

I doubt HTC will go this route, I could be wrong, but it would be nice.

No luck with the mission, it crashed the game the first few times, then I just put it back to normal with an RV-8 and a C-47, and had fun in the RV-8 until the C-47 flew into a hill and didn't come out... no kill message and a darbar a sector away...probably time to send a message to Skuzzy about the AI cheating  :noid

I figured out what was wrong with my Rv-8 mission. I had put the RV-8 in the wingman's place. I switched places and it works now. It's fun. Bf 109E vs Spitfire Mk 1. A B-17G vs 6 Bf 109F-4s is also fun, so long as you remember to dive first :o .

honestly it took me less than 30 seconds to kill it  from initial  merge, and i don't fly the 51s.

for someone thats never fought it will be a good learning tool.

Well, the AI is pretty lame.. It does, however, get the absolute maximum turn rates in what is assigned as the AI aircraft. AI helped me to find an FM bug; a Ju 88 doing 570 mph in a dive.
