Box flak is wrong
« on: March 27, 2008, 05:18:10 AM »
A totaly average example.. Anyone could probably just fly near a source of flak at 500mph in (e.g.) a 163 and still get nailed indifferently from this example.  Speed, heading, and distance mean nothing to AH flak as it is now.  Fat targets snailing along at constant velocity get nailed no worse than small targets flying unpredictable paths at high speed from far away.

Two thumbs down on this feature.

Yea it's off, I got shot down by both box flak from CV while flyin a 262, it was a 1st shot 1st kill thing. Also the town AAAs and airfield AAAs are crazy too. I was doing a 650 knts dive going pass an air field at about 4k just going by, and it got me killshot, hitting my pilot.
