Really woulf like to see this dervish against v bases with 4 20mm and 6 50 cal mgs would be a ho---nor to see this take on a fleet or even some gvs that seem unhurtable by most ground attack planes.  Brit made would add to a pretty short list of brit ground attack planes.  You take out the hurri 2c and the (useless) d model and there really isnt much in that catagory.  Also add the 8 rocks or small bombs and would be very versitile, but unfortunately similar in performance to the 110 g.

All for it :aok the plane would cover early war through to late war. Just add the Australian made version DAP MK21 for the late war era, this is the only model I think had four 50's in the wings all the English models had six 303's. The Beaufighter also carried torpedos as well.

Agree 1000% :aok :aok The Beaufighter was to the Brit's and Aussie's what the Ju-88 was to the Germans. This plane did everything.

to be fair the JU-88 was designed to be a german version of the mossie.

I do think this would be a great plane!

Ermm....
The first Ju88 flew in 1936, and the Mosquito was designed in 1938.

The Germany must have had really good foresight.

It wasn't a copy, it just happened to also be made of wood. Apparently the otherwise exceptional German engineering of the time didn't apply to adhesives. These things liked to disintegrate in flight, just like the He-162, and for the same reason. Apparently Heinkel had already reserved the name "Shredding Plywood Coffin" for the 162, so Kurt Tank just went with "Moskito" (maybe he figured he could blame it on the British :D).
