The Ju-87G-2 would be far more effective in tank killing than any aircraft we have now.  If it was unperked, that's all you will see flying in the anti-GV role.  The G-2 and the G-1 have a 1 hit kill capability with the 37mm Flak 18 cannon.  However, the Ju-87G-2 would be a sitting duck if caught by any fighter, with those two 37mm gun pods maneuverability is going to be near nil.

I fail to see why the Bofors on the 40mm are anymore or less effective, infact... unless the muzle velocity on the JU is a factor, I would think that the 40mm's superior mass would have a a greater impact.

Look there is a reason everyone and thier brother got out of the 37mm anti tank gun buisness in ww2, they are duds unless you get gits in a soft spot, i.e. the turret top, engine top, or rear.
I think its going to be the same old game of trying to thread a needle from 1000ft, just a game of luck and skill.

While the 37mm Flak 18 anti-tank gun as a towed gun piece wasn't very effective but found a new life mounted on the Ju-87G-1 and G-2 airframes and was very effective with a one hit, one kill ability against the strongest of Soviet armor.
