I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out also.
I have compiled a short list of sounds I've been wanting to change and have come up with this so far. Can anyone verify or add to the unknowns on my list?
Hit goes to small caliber hit
Hit 1 ???????
Hit 2 sounds like an air or ground... hit or miss?????
Hit 3 sounds like a ricochet
Hit 4 is 50 cal hit
Hit 5 is definatly 20 mil or larger
hit 6 sound only seems to make itself known when a 5in shell comes your way
Hit 7 is another ricochet sound but never hear it in game
Ground strike has Gstrike to Gstrike_1 onto _4. The sounds repeat a cycle which tells me you can construct a multible string of sounds but why would you need to.
The Eject or Chute file seems to act like Gstike with the exception of when your guy gets hit which is Hit 6
Explode 1 is an 8in gun
Explode 2 is Puffy
Explode 3 is either 8in shells hitting ground or plane explosions or both
Explode 4 is either 8in shels hitting ground or bombs hitting or both
Explode 5 seems to be buildings going dn, like the hangers
Explode 6 could also be buildings going dn
Explode 7 I'm not sure
The explodes have different #'s attached and I'm not sure if it's so you can choose which sound you want or as multiple buildings go dn, kind of running in a string like Gstrike.
Scrape is when you ditch wheels up
Slat is tics in planes like the 109's, Fw's and LA's
Splash is for torps entering water
BOMB is for when bombs release from a plane or bomber
Damage 1 Is it for crashing or parts leaving
Damage 2 Crashing or parts leaving
I have 6 damage sounds WHY? and what to they go for I don't know. Do I need 6 damage sounds?
Some sounds from different sound packs add the underscore then a number (IE _2) some have the number sign and the number (#2) and some have letters (damage3a) I don't understand these.
Does the truck convoy have a name to add a sound to it?
The train does but i have tried truck, trucks, convoy and supply with a couple different variations.
Be very nice of someone to help or reply back via IM if interested in helping with a few tips
