first film need help
« on: October 17, 2008, 10:22:01 AM »
well I finally got it to work but not happy with the video quality, too grainy, blurry. It's not too bad when I view the video on my computer but when transferd to youtube not good.

A few other problems is a ding when it changes frames and also a annoying series of dings when I change views. One other thing is I could not figure out how to cut out the last few minutes of my music selection.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you use Windows Movie Maker?

I copied segments from ah2 viewer with fraps then imported the segments to movie maker, published and then imported to youtube. Like I said the video quality on the one saved to my computer is much better than what ended up on youtube. not near as good as many films I have seen but you could at least read the red plane icon. It is wmv format.

Ok, in regards to cut out the last few minutes of your song, if you dropped it into WMM, you can go to the eng of it and grab the bar that is on the end and drag it to the left to shorten it if you like.

you tube will always reduce the quality of any film you make or post.
If you want to put a higher quality one you need to either post it on a web site like Vimeo
or host it on your own or some one else website.

The high the quality the larger the size file

To get rid of th at chime, use Pan instead of Snap view.  Also, that sound can be turned off via Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices.  It is a system sound for a stuck key.
Also, experiment with using different views to keep it interesting.  Don't spend too much time at that dead 6 view.

vimeo IMO is the best when it comes to not actually having to downloading it.

It may have been the quality you saved it as.

Well, open up WMM and your project, click 'save to my computer' and it'll ask what quality. Ask for the best there is.  :salute

ok I think I got it. On my vista it only shows when you publish the film not when you save as. Thanks
