I didn't have any trouble at all, and I'm computer illiterate!  I'm guessing it is as you said, a Mediafire problem.

I've downloaded the sound files to my sounds folder, in the HTC program file.  How do I now get these sounds to function?  Im still hearing the old sounds, and when I attemt to remove the old sound file, everything is SILENT!  So I put the old file back into the folder.  Old sounds are better than no sounds!  Someone help an ignorant ole man out!

You can also use  Free RAR Extract Frog.  It's a freeware program available at this site: http://www.philipp-winterberg.com/software/free_rar_extract_frog.php

I hope this helps.

All the Best...

Two Booms, thanks for you help getting these new sounds.  I believe the sound adds flavor to the sights on the screen.  Magnifico!  Now, if you'll just point Skuzzy in my direction, maybe he'll help my fine tune this computer, so I get the best from AH.

First click start button then run type "dxdiag"
let it  run then save it email to skuzzy if your having problems skuzzy is very busy but will help you as much as he can in a timely fashion.
second goto the help forum read all the stickied performance tip threads.
Third click start run then type services.msc and run it.U`ll get the program started use this link to see all the services runnin in the background on your pc. A healthy xp system should only have about 16 to 20 processes running. heres the link with services u can saftley disable BLACK VIPERS LIST
Forth thing u can do is and hardware/programs u have install disable them from runnin constantly at start up and during regular operation as they will consume alot of needed resources that aceshigh will need to run at its best.
fith thing is open ur browser at the top click tools/internetoptions/generaloption and click the delete files and cookies tab as when this is full it consumes memory
also DeFrag ur hard drives once a month and after every game upgrade
alot of things to do but the payoff will be worth it as far as gameplay goes......................... ..TB

TwinBoom, these sounds are very good.  Thank you for the time and effort that you have put into them.
I have a problem though.  I have all the sounds, but Japanese sounds downloaded.  When I try and download Japanese sounds, it only goes to around 75%, then hangs.  When I try to download it again from mediafire, it's just like the page refreshes.  I click on the part that says 'Click here to start download'.  Then it says my download is being processed.  After that it goes back to 'Click to start download', but no download.
I'm using Getright download manager.  I've tried to resume my download from there, but that doesn't work.
I don't fly that many Japanese planes so I didn't to start a new post for this.
I think the problem is on my side, or perhaps Mediafire, but your sounds rock.

I had exactly the smae problem as you can see:

I'm having trouble with the German and Russian sets.  Although I suspect its a mediafire issue.  I click the "click here to start download" and it's almost as if I clicked the refresh button.  Nothing happens.  Anyone else having this trouble?

The only way I could fix it was to clear out my history and temp. internet files, and then try again.  Once I did this, they all worked perfectly.

Thumbs UP! Thank You Newman5.  That worked like a charm.  I was trying everything to get that last download to work.  I would never have guessed that solution.
TwinBoom, once again thank you for the sounds.
Now back to the war.   Smiley
