Once Again, <S> Rooks
« on: May 27, 2009, 09:24:45 PM »
Tonight, we ran a 21K alt B17 Mission straight into an eventual hell of a Rook wall. Was a lot of fun duking it out with all those Ta152's.
<S> Rooks. Hope to do this again, soon.

Pictorial:

All bombers of the strike force were sent to earth. Few escorts made it back, including Hajo, shamus, coprhead, and few more I may have forgotten. The losses on the enemy were great, confirming over 30 sent down and around 20 damaged. Out of the 22 plane scharm that attacked at target. 15-18 were knocked out of the sky.

Very Nice Shots for sure!!

Looks like you guys are about 22k and the 190's are even higher. How do you find a match up like that and why?

Did you let them know ahead of time or something? Never seen anything like it.

To the rest of y'all... great participation, great fights.
Even though this was posted for my "country" to join in general, this is what our squad is about. If you like what you see, stop on by.

:salute.............Gentleman. ................That was alot of fun. I was in a 109K4 playing with your escorts while my 190 brothers came for the bombers.

Last night is the reason I pay my monthly dues, because missions like that and fights like that are hard to come by.

You never know, maybe rooks might up a mass German bomber run with 190 and 109 escorts one of these nights..............<hint>  <hint>

Again..... :salute...to all that was there last night.

Stoliman when thundr posted the mission it was for B17s only.

Bishops and TFC saw the mission and asked if escorts would be allowed.

TFC did Jug up we were at 28 - 30K in P47Ns.  We had also Mustangs and

other aircraft.

The Bishops like a good time.  Most Bish will look at a mission to see what's involved.

Over country channel I asked thundr if he would like some escort.  His answer

was sure!  More Bish then came to the launch base and picked a fighter from the stable

and launched with the mission.

It's fun to be Bish  :aok
