Rearm
« on: June 17, 2009, 07:11:22 PM »
I (as a new player) feel that the rearm circles should be without the building next to it.

i cant tell you how many times ive had 2 kills and go to rearm quickly just take my wing off while crippling my engine so that i have to ditch

its not a big deal its just annoying to try and rearm to keep my streak alive and then i destroy your plane and lose potential perk points

Where are the ammo and fuel going to come from if there is no building?  It's as simple as parallel parking.

By the way, did you know F3 view works while you are on the ground taxiing?  Go to F3 and look down, or forward/down to see what your wings are going to hit next.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't fuel, ammo, & ord, usually delivered on carts or trucks? I mean I used to watch the old show "wings" and they'd show footage of fuel and ammo being delivered by trucks, or tractor carts, in the case of bombers the bombs rode on those little bomb "trains" where they tow 5 or so carts behind a tractor. I think the OP has a good point, planes didn't pull up to a gas station and fill up like in "1941".

You're wrong.  It's exactly like it was in 1941.

 :rofl

Or, have it your way.  More trucks rolling across the runway when you are trying to take off.

 ;)

Who is going to drive the vehicles out to you?  It is hard enough to get someone to bring GV supplies out of the spawn hanger & drop them on the main pad!

I seriously suggest the OP practice re-arming/taxing.  Until then OP, land your 2 kills safely & get a new plane.

I never said people had to bring stuff out to you, I'm saying that the rearm pad should be a marked, open, flat pad that has no obstructions around it that works just like it does now.

As AWwrgwy already mentioned, use external view F3, then adjust with F8 and keypad to see your plane from above
And use differential braking to steer, not rudder: C and V

at the end of the runway there is a small building with a fuel tank next to it

there is a yellow circle next to that and thats where you rearm

Internet humor eh Larry?

Having said that the original post has a point....in WW2 did they even have rearm areas? Or were they brought to the plane?

Regardless seems silly to have a plane get that close to buildings.
