Recalibration Issue

I have a complete CH setup. I went for about a year without calibrating and no issues. Now after every flight I have to recalibrate. If I switch from GV to plane, it's like the brakes are on. I have to recalibrate to get the plane to take off. Last night I took a F4U1A up and it was as smooth as silk. Then I decided to switch to Attack mode, the very next flight I lost control of my plane so easy. Each little movement caused me to lose control.

Now this started right after the update. Now that is not to say it couldn't be something else.

Would appreciate any advice.

I was talking with several Squaddies last night  and we are all having the same problems.  My CH rig has been intermittenlylosing calibration as well.
Several of the squad has Saitex gear and they seem to be having more trouble than I am .

I reloaded the control center, recalibrated and it was doing well until next flight. After a gv run, it's like I have the brakes on. It gets annoying if I'm in a close flight and all of a sudden I lose control. The other day I did a great merge had the advantage and then lost calibration.

maybe some how your joystick settings file got corrupted.  try moving it somewhere else then go into game up and see what happens.  just do some basic settings for your stick.

Do you lose calibration in Windows as well or just in-game?  Are you using a powered USB hub?  If you connect just your joystick, do you still lose calibration?  Does this also happen in other games you use your controllers in?

This seems to be happening to a lot of folks. Update your CH control manager and from now on when you first log into the host move your controls through the entire range of motion (all axis).

I did update my CM. Then had the same problem later.

Is it losing calibration in Windows?  If you calibrate it in Windows, does the problem clear up?

I have the full CH Products setup and I do not have a calibration problem.  I calibrated my rig in Windows and then I calibrated it in CH Manager.  I recommend that you try that procedure.

If he has the CHCM installed the windows calibration will not work and has to be done in CHCM which should be done the first time it is installed. If the controls are moved within their entire range after logging in the game will function properly and already be calibrated.

It loses calibration in game. It's really noticeable if I jump from a cv to a plane. It feels like the brakes are on. I have to recalibrate at that point.

I've recalibrated in windows using the CM. Jump into the game and it works very well until I change planes (or maybe end sortie, not entirely sure) or jump into a gv.

Do you have Norton installed on your computer?

It sounds like something may be preventing the game from updating its configuration files.

If he has the CHCM installed the windows calibration will not work and has to be done in CHCM which should be done the first time it is installed. If the controls are moved within their entire range after logging in the game will function properly and already be calibrated.

No, if he has CHCM installed he still has to calibrate in Windows and CHCM does not disable the Windows calibration.  If he has a map loaded, he may have to turn on DX mode in CHCM in order to calibrate in Windows.  He can use CHCM to access the Window's calibration routine by selecting the calibration function within CHCM but as I said, depending how he programmed his map template, he may need to turn on DX mode to calibrate and then turn it back off after he's done so his map will work properly in game.

I've done both calibration methods in AH. In the CH control manager there is an option to either press a button on the controller or to click the "Click button" with your mouse. I usually just click the button.
