My brother is the smartest person I know about computers he knows everything about them.  I asked him and showed him how we was able to surf the web with ease.  He said that there should'nt be a problem with me playing the game.  I told him i've been getting discoed lately so he opend the game clicked on net status and within like 15 secs i was discoed like normal.  He said theres nothing wrong with our sattilite connection casue i play on it all the time and it never has done this.  Well when he was watching the net status he noticed how i get discoed, and said it was HTC servers that was blocking me or something.  Is there a new thing in the update that disconects sattilite users? Plz help i enjoy this game very much  salute

Do you have any soundpacks on? I used to get disco'd like that (not that soon though) if I had soundpacks on.

Sometimes yes it will do even if your sitting in the tower, what is yoursoundcard acceleration at? AKDogg told me to put mine to 3/4 (it was at full) and that fixed it I only rarely get discos anymore.

I know I've read about you discoing before, but I can't remember if you ever posted a pingplotter screen shot.

The first thing in checking "why" you disco is to look at your connection. Surfing the web in not demanding. You can be dumping packets all over the place and eventually the page will load. HTC servers are much tighter than that. The game is VERY dependent on getting ALL of the info through. Your planes position in 3D space in relation to ALL of the other planes, a number of times a second, that is VERY demanding.

Get ping plotter and ping the HTC servers for 5-10 minutes to see what your connection is doing. If it is stable, then its time to start looking at your computer. Is some other program stealing your internet connection for another use? Are you over taxing the hardware and the computer is dropping its connection.

You have to do this one step at a time, and you start with a ping plot.

The servers actually do not have the ability to drop your connection.  Surfing the net is nothing like playing a real-time game.  When an error occurs with a WEB page, the remote server will continually retry sending the packet until you get a good one.  In a real-time game it cannot be done.

You will have problems with a satellite connection.  It is unavoidable.  The latency alone is going can cause discos.  The packet loss on UDP protocol is also unavoidable with satellite connections.  There is nothing we can do about this.

At times, there is data your computer has to get in order to proceed to play the game.  If there is a failure during that time period, the game will close the connection, not the servers.  The most critical time is when you first log into the arenas.  Packet loss there promises the game will close the connection to the servers.

Nothing is constant, especially when it comes to the internet. Sun spot activity may be on the rise causing transmission issues with the satellites, who knows. Be you can bet any amount you want that what it was like yesterday isn't what its like today and most certainly won't be like tomorrow.

What Fugitive said.

The only thing constant with the Internet is change.  What works today will break tomorrow.  What is broken today will work tomorrow.
