First off I know very little about computers.

I have a eMachines T5010 with a Intel P4 2.93GHz CPU.

The documentation that I've found says
"This computer comes with 1-pcix1 pci express slot. It is NOT for pci express video cards, which require the pcix16 pci express slot."

Will I be able to add a graphic accelerator card and if so what kind or type?

Thanks

you might be able to get a bit off help, but I'm thinking it would be like putting shiny wheels on your car. Sure it will look better, but it really won't make it run much better  Big Grin

You'll basically be throwing money away. Any money you put into that computer will be a waste as you won't be able to use anything from it to upgrade into a newer system. Save your money, $500 will get you a decent system, $1000 will get you one of DrDeath's killer systems (do a search on these boards).

I had the emachine 5110 I do believe as my first comp and I put a upgraded video card in and it ran fine.
Only thing you need to remember is, do you have the power supply to handle the card??
