Unable to log out on the Bulletin Board
« on: November 15, 2009, 11:14:52 AM »
Not sure why.  I've even tried clearing my history and deleting my bookmarks, but it won't allow me to log out of it.

did you try removing the cookies.  also hit the logout button.  by any chance do you have scrips disabled or use an add-on that will disable scrips?

Yes I tried removing cookies, yes I hit the "logout" button, no I do not have scrips disabled or an addon disabling them. :headscratch:

There is a flag in Windows Internet options that causes Windows to remember site logins and passwords.  By default it is enabled.  You can clear cookies all day long, and Windows will merrily automatically log you in if that option is enabled.

Look in "Internet Options", under the "Security" tab, pick the zone and view the settings (press the "Custom" settings button).  You are looking for "Userdata persistence".  It is usually in the "Miscellaneous" section.
