Fuel Tank
« on: March 14, 2010, 12:57:30 PM »
When I fly my F4u-1A i normally burn my left tank all thee way down.  It used to be that whenever the tank ran out of fuel you would switch to the next tank and it would automatically start now you have to maunally restart the engine.  Even though this seems more realistic it wast posted as part of the patch so i thought i would put it here.

Similar issue with engine in hurr1 not restarting during neg-G spikes, reported in another thread.

Seems to be a slew of these things.

How would it work in RL?  If the prop is still windmilling would you just need to add fuel to get the engine going again?

I thought I was hitting E instead of F for a good while there till Curry pointed this out.

In a real airplane which just ran out of fuel in a tank with the prop still windmilling switching tanks results in an instant relight.
