Actually, this year was a lot milder than prior years.  I didn't see any complaints about it spoiling the WWII atmosphere of the game and only a couple in 200 saying that they thought the evil con mission should introduce a new aircraft that will be used in the game, such as a super Ki-43 that can simply have it's flight model and guns corrected to a historical Ki-43.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

this what it looked like about half hour before con mission was supposed to launch -- was expecting con mission, did not expect people to say there was a disc above the sun at 60k :) immediately could tell something was odd, so just started working towards it.



climbing thru 32k, it was still probably 40k, and notice the second one had popped!:



then finally sometime after the con mission launched:
