Head movement position keys locked
« on: May 07, 2011, 05:20:43 AM »
Hello,

My head movement positions keys don't work since today.

They have standard mapping: Arrow keys.

Edit: I've just realized that RePag and AvPage keys are  also locked.

Any clue?

Thanks in advance

Hya!

Yes, all keys are mapped.

Repag and AVpag are PageUP and PageDown keys.

If I should explain the problem further....I could say that when I move from fwd view to...let's say...left view...it works fine as a snap change...but when I unriliese the j/s view botton...it use instant view to get back to fwd view.

And yes, Arrow UP, DD keys are locked...but....when you press them.....you can see as the view tries to change..but it only moves for a quarter of inch and goes back...turning into a tiny vibration effect.

Hey gyrene....

I'm really glad you wrote here....

Your last post gave me a clue....I've been trying to install FaceTracknoIr.....so I've just gone to check the settings screen above:

1. Nothing is checked
2. If I press crtl-f5 it works the problem out,

So, what do you suggest?

Thanks, Sir  :aok

i have no clue sir...as you can see having all the check boxes empty, i still have to hit ctrl+f5 to nullify the setting that facetrack and trackir locks in...i know it's a cfg file in the settings directory but, which one is a mystery.

Thank you....

I'll tell you more....I bet that stall limiter check/uncheck is not working either....I think it's always abled...how could I make sure???

I,ve noticed that because my plane is bouncing a lot in landings.....and It usually happens when stall limiter is abled...

Thank god this post was here. I remaped my controllers after a few month break and I couldnt firgure out why my head movement seemed to not work. I use the face tracker in a different game and seems the install of that software did something to AH. Control F5 made everything work again!  :aok

Could you check if this issue is also cuasing problems to the stall limiter?

It seems now that stall limiter is working even though it is unchecked.

Both problems could have the same root.
