In Game Mutes
« on: April 16, 2013, 08:48:20 PM »
Get rid of them.

In this game we have blood and guts proudly sprayed across our plexiglass when we are shot. That is an 18 certificate (or R).

Bursts of semi bad language frustration at something rather than someone should go unmuted.

Lol. 64-Bit pixel blood on the wind screen isn't as bad as swearing. The "blood" in this game looks more like someone shook up a carbonated can of tomato sauce and opened it.

Just try to remember that there are kids playing the game and that sometimes their parents are listening to what's happening.

Thats why we have squad VOX  :devil

BTW blood does not make it M rated. think of how many cartoons show their heros/villains with blood on them from fighting. if someone "dies"in AH you see a small flash then that it... like they do on PG shows where they don't show the death, but imply it through shadows/sounds/other peoples reaction.

Even pilots from WWÍI I have read about talked about how shooting a plane/train or truck felt different to strafing soldiers. One is impersonal the other is not.

What I don't get is why people feel the need to share their diatribe with the rest of the people in range/on vox.  Mrs. Wiley's jumped out of her skin a couple times when I've had Bad Death Tourette's, but I've never felt the need to press the button to let everyone in range hear my displeasure.  Honestly, most of the time nobody really cares by what I've seen.

Maybe I'm the odd one...

Just because we are killing is no excuse not to be civil. It's also in the rules you agreed to when you signed up. Live up to your end of the agreement.

I do that constantly. Not because I want to share my verbal Tourettes, but because Pavlov makes me do it. It's Neurological.

Line has to be drawn somewhere. Sucks but oh wells.

As a side note, I do find it funny in certain games where you can get banned/booted for cursing when the in-game NPCs themselves are yelling obscenities left and right, Battlefield 3, I'm looking at you.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.
