MFG Crosswinds! Shipping!
« on: July 03, 2015, 02:17:19 PM »
Got word from Croatia that the pedals are shipping tomorrow.

I ordered them in March. Everything I've read about them tells me that they're worth the wait.

Is anyone using them in Aces High?

I've had my Crosswinds since mid-May, and I am very happy with them.

I wish that Milan would build a joystick/throttle rig to the same high standards as his pedals.

I've thought the same, I wish one of the makers of the 3 or so really good high end custom pedals would build a HOTAS as well.

That is high praise coming from you two.

Since I first posted, Milan has sent along a detailed explanation of what comes next...shipping method, timing, items that could possibly cause a delay, etc.  He also sent links to all the pertinent videos for unboxing, assembly, and adjustment (of course, I've watched those videos 10 times by now).  He also explained the differences between the older firmware and the new stuff and cautioned about loading the old revision.

How long did it take from ordering the pedals and finally getting shipped to you?  I just ordered some myself and hoping it doesn't take a few months to get them.

Congratulations!

I ordered mine on March 6.  In the interval MFG went through a significant expansion and has increased production.

My unit was delivered last Tuesday, but a delay in a home remodel has not allowed me to use them yet.  Maybe this week.

The shipping process took about 8 days and it was trackable (from Croatia to Texas). It was painless.  My unit hit customs in Miami on a Friday, but they cleared on Saturday and FedEx delivered them promptly.

I'd do it again.

MFG is expediting older orders now and they should be caught up soon.  I wouldn't expect the wait time that I had, but be sure to hit Milan with a note on the website.  He is faithful to that.
