p51d without a doubt

its dive acceleration and e retention make it more survivable than all planes with a faster sustained speed such as tempest, typhoon, 190d9, 109g10.

and it is faster than the La7 at all but lowest altitudes though La7 has better vertical performance at altitudes up to 25k ( learned this the hard way

)

Airguard in a low fuel La7 caught me in a dogfight that went from 30k (yup 2 dweebs at 30k 1 La7 1 p51d) down to 20k then to 27k where he caught me trying to hammer him after a zoom. tride to evade by throwing it into a spin but he hit my tail with 2 20mm and it fell off.

P-51d with its speed, range and great high alt performance make it a laid back easy going killer so you can pick your fights with no sense of urgency

I agree on P51, still most survivable plane.

As for La7, it loops endlessly. I wittnessed it doing continous loops at 25-30k and beating both D-9 and G-10 at it.

Never thought the La7 was that good at such alt. Got into a brawl once at 25K in a Spit vs La7 and looped with him untill he stalled and had to dive away. Must have been a really good pilot to out-loop a p51 that high up

and he did it in a Fw190A8. Unless someone does a similar streak in a C202, a zero, a Fw190A8 or even a P47D25/D30, then I will still think that fishu's streak is the best.
