oh.... and Skuzzy could you have it deliver beer to my house?  Going out to get it is such a pain !!! Its not rocket science and it is of practical use !

Some people need to chill out. If you have a hard time keeping track of a few threads, well lets just say keeping up with a message board is the least of your problems.

You have got to be kidding me. You guys are going to start picking at each other on a thread that Skuzzy started, in order for people to talk about "New Bulletin Board Questions or Issues". Hehe!

So basically any question or issue, regarding the new BB system, is what this thread is for right?

I guess the O'club is a little slow?

You could subscribe to the threads you read, there should be a list where only the threads you've subscribed to appear.

Thanks moot, I'll look into that.

Correct SLED, as I see it. but then as we've seen the maroons are still
everywhere in this environment.. if only they could be relegated to the
O'Club ...

I'm aware of the 'Mark All Read' option and as far as the cutsey little "New" icon,
that is of absolutely NO use when I'm trying to find threads I have been following.
One USED to be able to simply visually scan the headers and those threads that
you had read would have a different hue that those that you haven't read and
could care less about regardless of how many "New" thingies there are.

The only way I can ID the threads I have been following now is to figuratively
'lift my leg' and 'mark' them by cluttering up the thread with a useless post
so that the little folder thingy shows I've been there....

The 'old way' was, IMO, a far better method, as is generally the case with most
things these days. Newer and flashier and more whiz-bang widgets isn't necessarily
the best way to go....

I don't know, where I come from a request is phased more like.... "Skuzzy, would it be possible to set up the boards so that a person would be able to follow a thread they were following by an identifying icon?" Instead we get the bolded comments above, not a real "request", but some  snide comments and and a backhand knock on the new boards. You can get more flies with honey, but you can work the "vinegar" route.

Good luck with that!  Thumbs UP!

GB, I looked and couldn't find the thread subscription system like the previous forum software had. So unless I'm blind, it's not a feature this forum has anymore.  Maybe if you ask Skuzzy .. Smiley

And I don't recall requesting your comments on MY opinion of the 'new boards'.
It is and shall remain my opinion that they are of less use, practically speaking,
than were the 'old boards'. And judging from your first 'input', I seriously doubt
that you follow your own advice but then I'm not going to sift through your
2500 prior posts to confirm that...

The old boards worked. I had no issues with them. When something works and
does what it was intended to do I see no reason to change it.
