Email me @ pittspilot@cinci.rr.com.  I was considering a build of an 8 or 7, but id rather have a ready to fly than taking the time to build.

Ok call me stupid but why a second stick but no instruments on his side? I know money may be a an issue but that's kind of weird. Make it dual controls with instruments both sides would increase the value and IMO make it a potential trainer right? Think i would have at least done the switches and had a cutout for the instrument panel screen built into it as an added selling point for it.
Just a thought.

It's not set up for instrument flight, so no need for instruments if you're just flying VFR.

I'd wager that all the instruments and required items are integrated into the box.

You don't typically use an RV7 as a "trainer" anyway.  What box is that anyway Nick?  Looks like it even gives you an FPA indication...I loves me some FPA!

FPA = Flight Path Angle, the little airplane symbol like you might see on a figher jet's HUD:

What kind of CG restrictions do you come up against with the RV7 and the 200HP engine.  I'm looking at an RV8 and was steered toward the 180hp engine.  That and I don't need the extra 20 horses with fuel at $6/gallon and going up  :(

The enigma has EVERYTHING IN THE BOX, it literally does. airspeed, rate of climb, artificial horizon, fuel flow, cylinder head temp, ext temp, alt, GPS, Moving map, Tach pretty much everything you could want. And you can see it from the right side just fine. I was considering adding steam gages to the package but it just adds weight and if a prospective buyer wanted it I could add it its very easy, heck they could add it themselves if they wanted. Really if it had a total failure and you lost everything its still a plane just fly it. if you cant fly VFR without any insterments then you need more training. Obviously its VFR day and Night. But we did have the transponder checked IFR, and if you wanted it IFR it would be very easy to add the steam gages.

The only reason you would want to use a RV7 for training is to train someone to fly an RV.

We put the catto prop and the CG is a non issue, actually its still in acrobatic limits with myself (200) and my wife (135) with room to spare. Gas at Caro, MI (CFS) is $4.65 if your looking for cheap gas.
