It pretty much happened on it's own. I recently upgraded to a Phenom quad and the mic was old, but I bought a new one today and the problem remains. The microphone works fine in Windows (XP Pro 32) But only activates the key tone in game and I changed nothing from when it worked. An odd side note is that the old mic made a scratchy static or feedback sound and the new one is silent. Both work in the windows sound control panel.
