How come everyone cares about the jews being killed by germans but no one cares about native american indians? Whats the difference? Oh yeah we killed nearly all of them and relocated those we didn`t to reservations. Sounds quite similiar to me.

The American Indians were allowed to sign treaty's bringing an end to the conflict.  The Jews were offered no such accomodation.

Most Americans who's parents were born in this country have Indian blood in them.  You would have to kill every American to get ride of every trace of the Indians.  The Indians have a very strong influence on our culture.

However if one follows the literal translation of Race then there is no "Jewish Race".Race is a genetic distinction, and refers to people with shared ancestry and shared genetic traits. You can't change your race; it's in your DNA.

I feel it's not a race, It's like freez said a group of individuals who share common religious beliefs.

Who said no one cares?  The thread was whether a Waffen SS squad name would be appropriate. 

If you wish to start a thread discussing man's inhumanity to man, go for it.  Since Native American's had nothing to do with the thread talking about the Waffen SS, it made little sense to discuss it.

And Jews were (for the most part) herded into camps where the intention of their lives was DEATH. Americans didn't do that to their indian captives.
