« on: August 15, 2008, 01:55:10 PM »
Hey lucky me I got approval for a new joystick :rock.  Any suggestions?  I guess I can even spend over $100.00.  I currently use a logitech wingman.

Thanks

Saitek Av8r. Best Joystick I've ever had. Simple, rugged, and good looking.

Saitek X52 :aok Or maybe even a set of rudder pedals, instead of a  joystick. They really help out. :aok

NO! Those dang throttle's in the front ticked me off! Get an X52. Best bang for the buck.

Saitek X52 is the pronounced "King of Joysticks" around here.  But i do not like mine at all.  It's a good set-up but is very irritating.

Anything other than CH is crap, but I don't think you could get a CH for $100.00.

Ditto.  I love mine.  Best replacement for a MS Sidewinder out there.

Everything in the CH stuff is replaceable. I have had my analog CH stuff for over 10 years. Replaced the pots in the stick once and thats all thats gone south.(Knock on wood)
You will spend a great deal more for a CH setup than 100 bucks though.

CH builds controls for industrial applications hence the somewhat ugly products. Stick, throttle and pedals are gonna be at least 300 bucks.

BUy an X-52 at best buy..right at $99...then get the 2 year extended warranty.X-52's can be a bit TOUCHY,but 2 years will be a good buffer..And you can take it back at ANYTIME and get a whole new one..
