We still need a patch design for Coral Sea 2009, too.

If you have a design you can post for that one, please do it here:

I played around with a prelim design but got sidetracked with XO slot RS/KS...and the Scenario Manger program I am writing...

The signal flags are Alpha Zulu...I have a ton of good material to incorporate...but no time...

I left the effort here:

well, i had the battle of Okinawa in mind.

ok, this would probably be a five-part scenario, with parts 1 and 2 being the pre-invasion phase (kamakazie attacks, shelling the shores, ect.)
yes, yes, i know, "we cant do kamakazie attacks in this game, shifty!" well, we could just do normal dive bombing attacks with zekes and vals. we could have a couple of american cv groups, and the jappanese aircraft can up from the airfields on the island. we can have squadrons of hellcats, and a small number of corsairs (probably d-hogs) to defend the cv groups.

part three would simulate the finding and sinking of the jappanese battleship yammato (spelling?). we could just take a cruiser, give it a couple escort destroyers, and bump up the hit points on the cruiser by a bunch, since we have no battleships. the US Navy conducted numerous dive bombing attaks on the battleship, and they would of been using helldivers by then, but the sbd's would have to suffice. also, they conducted torpedo runs, so tbm's can get some action. and the jappanese can provide air cover from the island

parts 4 and 5 would be the invasion portion of the scenario. the american lvt's would land on two beaches, trying to take two airfields. i dont know how many tanks the jappanese used to defend the island, but we could use lvt4's to substitute for the type 97. we could have the corsairs providing air support, and the zeros can defend. victory would be decided by whether or not the americans were able to capture the two airfields. i think this would be an awesome scenario, that alot of people would sign up for. thats just my idea

Nope. Started out asking for new avatar ideas (for Krupp Steel/Red Storm), then switched to patches for Coral Sea.
