It is not as bad as Vista wgmount, but you can turn off that non-sense if you like. Check Start->Run->msconfig, under the "Tools" tab for something that says to disable "User Access Control".
You should only disable "User Acess Control" (UAC) with a fresh install of the operating system, or you could have some strange problems with applications installed before it was disabled.
Even *IF* UAC was as bad as Vista, there are about a zillion other reasons to get Vista off of laptops as soon as you can. Windows 7 has actually been designed with laptops in mind. Vista was not. Vista still has very broken power management problems that Windows 7 does not.

I see your rule call, and raise you a " See Rule #5". Here's a question for you. Who would be moderating the Skuzzmeister if we hit the Report to Moderator button? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Hey, there was a time when you weren't really a squad at a con unless you all had "uniforms." I remember polo shirts with patches and embroidered callsigns, matching beanie hats, and other cool stuff.
Hat's off to the 68th for maintaining the tradition...

The 444th Air Mafia showed up in a limo all wearing suits and hats carrying violin cases at the AW Con one year Its party time ! THIS is the kind of stuff we need to see and hear about! These sound like great traditions that make events memorable. Make us other poor slobs feel we're missing out on something great!

Hard to make out in the picture but the guy in the middle may be Jack Ogilve. If it is he sunk a U-boat with a round from a P-39 cannon. I got to see the Silver Star he won for that and the dispatch that informed him of the award when I visited him in his home in Dallas. He spoke at the 99 AirWarrior convention. A very stand up man that didn't have a lot to say nice about the P-39.

I'm pretty sure your right SB. They talked about him for weeks after they got back from that con. That and an issue that arose around a certain sheep named "fluffy"

That is great to know, I just put 7 on my laptop and it's going on my new build as well.
