Beautiful skin, Raven.   I really wish HTC would do a review of the existing P-51D skins and replace those not up to the standards of the 51D skins submitted since the slots were filled.

That is sweet it was one of the first models I ever did as a kid. Sadly it will just sit in cyber space for ever along with many others. I mean I have been on this game for 5 years or so now & I can't say I have seen any rotation at all. Please correct me if I am wrong. Very well done Raven. :aok

Excellent work Raven. Just a few things I noticed. The US marking on the top left side of the wing (and bottom right) I noticed that the blue field, in which the white star resides in, appears to offset the blue outline. On some in game skins, the blue field extends to the edge of the blue border. May want to double check your sources for accuracy. Other than that, I dont have much else to say in regards to accuracy.

I love the panel lines. In fact, any plane that has bold panel lines, I like! Take Fester's 78th FG skin, for example. The paneling on your fuselage is outstanding. It stands out and I think that adds to the eye candy. However, on your wings, the panel lines seems too faint. Perhaps making the panel lines on your wings a bit more bolder? It would probably look more uniform with the fuselage work.

EDIT: I also took a closer look at the detailing on the top side of the fuselage. In front of the dorsal fin, all the way to the back edge of the canopy, there appears to be a blank strip of olive drab. I am not sure if this is a specularity issue, the lighting, or if its just the camera angle.

Thanks Will do, I I had the wing PL way to pronounced so I backed off my eye was going to them to much... Ill have to find the happy medium. Shes far from complete and will sit on the back burner for a bit as I'm stuck on other issues,Good helpful suggestions, many eyes make light work ;)
Thanks for the tips.

Ok first of all the stars and bars he has are correct.  Any others that don't show that offset are wrong.  The ones on the fusalage are the wrong ones.

Secondly, the wings of the P-51 were laminar flow wings.  NAA filled the panel lines and painted the entire wing grey/silver (your milage on the actual color may vary due to monitor calibration) .  It's not natural metal.  The flaps and fusalage are natural metal but the wings should be grey a noticably different color.  The only panel lines that should be readily obvious from any distance are the ones around the gun bay and ammo bay.

I'm not sure I follow what you both mean by the "offset" -- I know I'm just not looking at it the right way...

Can you better explain it for me?

@Plazus  ...Yes there is missed spot showing ... .I fixed that ;)

Hey Fencer...Whats the correct Fuse stars and bars?

I pulled em from a USA pack of markings, can ya pop me a marking that's correct please?
Glad the wings are right I changed em because I saw pony's with my eyes and they were as you said. More Silver than metalick and softer PL as the were filled.. Just need a stars and bars lesson.
This is just for fun as all the slots are full anyway.
Thanks In advance RaVe
