I think...
« on: February 26, 2011, 05:02:32 AM »
... the ships need better damage models. In offline i sometimes destroy things for fun. sink a CV, CA or DD, they just go straight up in the air 90 degrees and then just plummet. the ones in the ports are just as bad. one torp hit and they split-second move halfway into the ground. perhaps there could be a randomized animation for each ship thats reached full damage? perhaps next time you have a TBM force you the CV roll over, that CA go slowly and those DD's break in half perhaps?

I think it would very cool to have several different sinking animations for each ship type.   Q: Is it only the CV that has the sinking animation?  I was in the vicinity of a CA that was being shelled from shore and the gunner had found his mark, appearing to get several hits in a row, the suddenly the CA just disappeared.   Was it sunk?

In my experience, when you're far enough away you won't view the sinking animation. But if you're up close you'll see its bow plunge and the ship goes down.

Shouldn't that be "I wish....."  and in the Wish Forum?

I would love to see a ship get split in half by a torpedo or bomb and sink.

Make it so the flight deck looks like this after a couple of bombs.
