<Dons flameproof underpants for owning a Mac>

Having a bit of trouble with the new chat buffer since the update. Unable to right click in the text box and hence access the new tab system, although can right click just fine in the hangar (two finger prod on the old trackpad). Also some of the keys are sometimes mixed up. At first I couldn't access the dot commands because my full stop key was giving a semi colon, this seems to have now fixed itself though.  :headscratch:

I play on a MacBook Pro.

This may be hard to fix being that technically AH is not compatible with MACs.

I guess what it all comes down to is how well windows communicates with the Mac's hardware...

Mac takes care of that through bootcamp by loading Window's drivers for all of the Mac hardware. Worked fine before the update.

Shida...We run MAC at work and had a change over to wireless keyboards and mice (mouses, mices, meese?) and we now have a "PC" mouse that have the 2 finger buttons, unlike the single the MAC has. I wonder if you can buy a new mouse?

Yeah thanks Fud, I might grab one up. The right click is normally emulated on the trackpad and does work in the hanger, but it won't work in the text box.

Not so many of us Mac users here, so I imagine this will be item number 16,748 on the HTC todo list (just after item number 16,747: Include the Westland Whirlwind).  :old:

Yes but that still doesn't change the fact that there is no right click on a mac's mouse and that there is no windows key on a mac keyboard.. etc...

Right mouse click is emulated with a two-finger tap, you know, in the style of Winston Churchill    \/..

It all worked perfectly before the update (two years playing on this computer) and it currently does work in the hangar, just can't access the new chat box features.

Oh and another thing, when using the posting preview button in Safari, you only get a very thin box with room enough for one line of text. Previewing PMs works just fine.

i used my iMac very happily for years.  I used a regular ole mouse and keyboard for AH: bought em cheap.  When not playing, I used the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse.

Guys I'm moving this to the technical support forum, even thought we do not support Macs, maybe a player there will be helpful.

Right mouse click is emulated

My point exactly.  It has to be emulated... either within the windows drivers or within the firmware of the touchpad.  In either case it isn't playing well with however Aces High reads right click to enable the options for the new text box options.

I was simply stating that it may be difficult to find a solution since HTC doesn't officially support macs.  I wish you (and other mac users) the best luck in resolving this though!

Yes thank you. Fair enough, there aren't many of us. I'll just have to manage.  :joystick:

nrshida is having computer problems?

Perhaps now I might get the advantage as he fumbles with his chat buffer.  :lol
