offline mission problems...
« on: August 26, 2011, 06:11:48 AM »
aight HTC, time to face it. im not saying you guys are bad when it comes to making this game, its amazing, but you guys really did screw up when you did the offline mission part. i was flying in an offline mission and had a "phantom" enemy shoot me down (this happens in every mission). i was flying level RTB'ing to get more fuel and when i looked back in f3 mode (tracers flew past my canopy) there was nothing there but something was shooting me. i quickly pulled up but not before the "phantom" got my wing. also, i was flying in another mission and a F4U-4 turned perfectly with my I-16. please tell me how on gods green pixelized earth does that happen? id just like to see something done about this. also, planes that constantly fly at stall speeds? that doesnt seem right to me.  :bolt:

anyways, id just like to see that it gets fixed soon. its kind of driving me away from the game and i dont like F4U-4's that turn with the most manuverable plane in game.  :lol

I dont wanna disappoint you but even a g-6 outturns the i-16... once the 109 opens its flaps. The f4u4 has way better flaps than a 109...

+1 for offline mission AI improvement.

The AI actually used to be much better and much more challenging than it is now. However, I cannot think of a time when offline missions were not buggy.

It seems to me that HiTech kind of ignored the offline missions in order to focus on the online arenas and the aircraft, which is understandable from a business point of view. However, it would be much appreciated if they fixed up the offline mission system once and for all.

Agreed.  Big +1! I've written as many offline missions as anybody, I think, but it's been discouraging to see them become incompatible (or just impotent) with new releases of Aces High. I'd write a lot more if this were to improve and stabilize.

If HTC does find the time to work on the ME, hopefully something can be done about these astounding course changes...

I'd love for everything previously mentioned to happen to the Offline missions. I don't have the ability to play online, so offline is as good as the game gets, for me.\
