I didn't have a chance to thank everyone for all the kind words in the other thread before it got locked, so i will thank you all here...
THANK YOU all very much.

The funeral is in a couple of hours at the high school, and so far no protesters in sight. Let's hope it stays that way
They moved Travis from the funeral home to the school at noon today and while that was happening I had a chance to speak to a highway patrolman about the protest issue. He told me that the protesters....if they show up will be confined to an area near the funeral home well away from family members and the funeral itself.
The only opinion I have on war is that to me it seems like the only folks in favor of it are the ones that have never had to deal with it first hand. War may be a fact of life and a necessary evil but that doesn't make it right.
All I know is I swell up with pride at the sight of 2020 American flags lining the motorcade route as well as damned near everyone in this town lining the route, standing @ attention and saluting in honor of Travis' service to our country. If that don't bring a tear to your eye, I don't know what would.
Travis fought and died for the right for ALL people to be able to speak freely. What I find ironic is the fact that he would probably look at the protesters ...flip them the bird and go off to fight for their rights of free expression. Go figure. Crazy world we live in huh?
