Stop looking, cause here it is

       Airborne Kitchen Utensil Assault Group

Step right up and get your very own utensil nose art.

Calling all Kiwi's, Aussie's and any of you who fly in the Asia/pacific time zone.

Really!?!?!...What more needs to be said here...Who wouldn't want this insignia on the side of their weapon of choice..
Here we are again. Looking for some spaces to be filled...

We are a loosely formed squad of guys with no fixed agendas...other than our squad night you are free to fly/GV and do as you like. Obviously the aim of a squad is comradeship, so joining forces when on together is encouraged.. We look to have fun and cause mayhem...whether this be mixing it within a large red dar, denying late night runners an easy take or just taking the jeeps down to the beach for some sun, surf, brews (beer!!...not those horrid little cretin planes    Hehe!),and a BarB...Although we are pretty relaxed, we do try for a good standard of game play and 200 banter....and we always try to get home.
Also keep in mind that we are paying homage to those before us who did this type of thing for real, before our magic box was invented, so a reasonable amount of respect is expected.
We are, as many know, made up of Kiwis and Aussies, I inform you of this because our humor can offend (not as much as the poms but still    Big Grin ) and for the time zone we fly...

                           Some of our requirements

---Must be a subscribed member
---Must not be over bearing (We are a laid back bunch)
---Vox coms capability..
---Of a mature stature
---Attend Squad events regularly
---Fly in the South Pacific/East Asian times zones.
---You must fly/drive what you like**
---You must try to steal squaddies kills
---Your score should be for personal growth not stature

On becoming a Utensil, although it is not a requirement we encourage the use of a Kitchen utensil call sign....not only is it cool, the ladies love it....

If you like the laid back lifestyle with a kick buttocks (it really isn't the same with this language filter    Hehe!) attitude and feel you might like to have go at the Utensil style let us know...

** Squad nights could have a designated plane or vehicle..also Squad ride is the P51D.

Squad night is at present Tuesday (view to adding another day/time in the future) nights 10pm NZST.. These consist of different variables each night...First week of every month is DA time where we learn from each other and the Third week is Squaddies choice, this where a member of the squad is picked at the beginning of each month to lead the squads operations for the night. The other weeks are pre determined, varied operations.

Oh yes...We have a blender too       neener

PM, post here, or hassle one of us online or just come along onto Vox 154( please note this is a private channel and as such some banter could be a little crass...please inform us of little ears if they maybe near by and use a speaker system) to join in on what we may be doing at the time if you have an interest. As not everybody uses this BBS I ask of you regulars to point new Kiwi's, Aussies, Asia/ pacific guys our way please.

I fly most nights with these fine Gentlemen, and all I can say is :

+1!

Highly Recommended bunch, if you're an Aussie or a Kiwi, you should join this Squad.

bros...can you please advise me on good websites or shops in NZ for getting hold of a gaming PC and flight sim peripherals??

I just can't wait for my gear to arrive from the UK any longer, hasn't even left the dock yet and will take 5-7 weeks once it does :/

any advice would be much appreciated...cheers salute:

Try PM Vulcan...he lives down your way and from the sound of things he has a pretty nice rig .... also look for a playtech (not sure if they are down in Wellington) .... can be a bit pricey but usually good gear ... and JB HiFi have alienware.... PBTech isn't bad .... you can get yourself all you need from them to build a good rig or have them slap one up for you..... that is about all I know when it comes to gaming stuff in NZ ... we really don't have a lot... and sometimes it can be cheaper to get in from abroad ...Take for instance that VR site ...the st90 ....@ $39-00.... you can go down to your local PC shop...PB tech noel leeming and the like and get one for $30 ... only $9 and bottom of the pile as far as sticks go but still just trying to show that you really need to shop around here and may even be better to go offshore for some things ...

PB Tech Wellington

Playtech  (looks to be Auckland only...these guys are just down the road from me

thanks chaps  cheers

I guess I may end up ordering a cheap HOTAS from overseas if I can't find one here...can't bring myself to buy expensive peripherals as I just spend a crapload on buying them in the UK last year and they will get here...eventually... pray

looks like I can get a beast of a PC from Playtech  Thumbs UP!  I will have a look in PB Tech and JB Hi Fi tomorrow though just to compare prices. cheers again

hopefully see you in the skies in a couple of weeks (off on a road trip on Thursday  rock see some more of this beautiful country)
