X-65F vs. Warthog: need opinions please about switching

okay, I have a TM Warthog and mostly like it. the downsides are: no yaw control (pedals make me struggle), no 8-way hats, no rotaries for trim, no mouse scroll-wheel, & TARGET software defeats my limited intellect for programing. The upsides: smoothest stick ever, lots of switches, & fits my hands mostly perfectly (controls could be a teeny bit larger, imho)
So, I am thinking of swapping with someone that has an X-65 that cannot get used to the force-sensing stick. I'd like to hear from users of both as to why/why not this is a good idea.
Oh, leave price out of it, it is a sunk cost at this point. And leave CH out of it, it is not an option I want to explore at this time.

It has an 8 way hat on the stick. The gray one is an 8 way.

Just get a throttle quadrant like Saitek's and use it for analog trim.
The Thrustmaster software is very easy to program in the graphical mode, if you're having a problem you are probably just over-thinking it.
Pedals are only difficult until you get used to them. Once you are used to pedals they are easier and better than a twisty.

I haven't actually used one but I've heard that the force sensing stick does not translate well into a WWII sim. The reason being is that the 'center' position is constantly shifting and unless you're used to frequently adjusting the trims you may find yourself having to constantly vary the force applied on the stick which results into lost accuracy.
I've also heard the rudder axis accuracy really suffers as well.
If I were you I'd see about borrowing it for a few days just to try it out before committing yourself. It's a shame you can't get used to rudder pedals they really do enhance things quite a bit!

As noted the large hat is 8 position. The throttle also has three other 4 postiion switches as well as another 3 singles. The throttles have two 4 position hats and another dozen various configurable switches. It also has the mouse type joystick.
You're right about the twisty stick. You'll have to get used to the foot pedals if you want to keep it. I would hang in there and get used to the pedals.
If you trade your friend will hands down get the better deal for sure.

Hmmmm
As it was mentioned before the big hat switch on the stick is an 8 way hat. The one on the right side of the throttle can be used as an 8 way hat...I program it as a back up in case my TrackIR goes tits up with the sun coming into my office during lunch time.
Also I agree with the statement about TARGET; it is probably the WORST use of software I have ever seen in it current GUI setup for getting the stick to work right and it sucks CPU cycles like a cheap hooker in NOLA.
