The Allied Ace was DrBone, He was representing: Lt General Vorozheikin – A veteran of the Mongolian and Finnish campaigns, Vorozheikin was assigned to 728 IAP flying I-16s in late 1942. He was then given command of the 2nd Squadron. His squad would re-equip with Yaks in March and return just in time for the Battle of Kursk where he would shoot down his first enemy since 1939. Vorozheikin would accumulate 19 of his 52 victories at Kursk and the following counter-attack. He would later be awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union.

While flying his La-5FN DrBone shot down 4 Bf 109G-6s flown by AKP, bonanza, 1wolf and BFOOT1 from G3-MF and also claimed 1 assist. He landed successfully at the end of the frame.

The Axis Ace was Biggamer, He was representing: Hauptmann Johannes Wiese – Weise commanded 2./JG 52 and already had shot down 76 enemy aircraft and had the Knights Cross before July 5th, 1943. On that day he claimed 12 Soviet Sturmoviks. Wiese would go onto earn the Oak Leaves to his Knights Cross in March of 1944. He would be severely wounded on Christmas Day 1944 and would spend the rest of the war in the hospital. He was released by the US and then incarcerated by the Soviets until his release in 1950.

While flying his Bf 109G-6 Biggamer shot down 2 Enemy Aircraft, a P-40N flown by BigR of the VMF-101 Nightmares and a La-5FN flown by DejaVu (The highest scoring Allied Pilot with 7 kills) of TopGun. He also had 1 assist. Biggamer crashed and was killed.

It appears that both squads with the designated ace pilots met in combat. Looks like only one made it out alive.

Allied Ace Mission: 100 (4 Kills landed successfully + Killed the Axis Ace)
Axis Ace Mission: 0

Allied Pilots: 160
Axis Pilots: 159

Allied Kills: 115
Axis Kills: 103

Allied Assists:70
Axis Assists: 83

Congratulations to DejaVu for being the top allied scorer with 7 kills. 49 Merlin had the most objects destroyed with 27.

Congratulations to Perdweeb being the top Axis scorer with 6 victories and Tshark and JS07 for having the most objects destroyed on the Axis side with 3.

I like these write ups after the frame.  Its a great way to measure success and to evaluate how to fight the next frame.  The "Ace" missions I think are a great add and should be considered on all FSO scenario's if possible.

Hasn't there been a ace mission for the entire year of 2012? Or has it just been for the last two frames headscratch
