Ok gentleman what's going on ?
« on: February 05, 2013, 03:45:17 PM »
I could play previous version of ah with no problem
also if i have a poor pc - calling thing with their name it is an azz-hole pc !
Anyway thanks to HTC staff works ( Skuzzy  and HiTech :salute ) it was able to play this game.
Some weeks ago, as I wrote in another post, its HD died and
i stopped to play AH until I repaired it - repair is a too big word.
I sustitued it with another HD.

When I started to play this new version I noted some things:

1. at the beginning, when in tower, my pc took too much seconds to
replace white figures with colored one. Strange. Never had this problem before.

2. no clouds

3. when somebody (not everyone) appeared on the deck I got a very fast freeze.

4. When i fired for the first time ore released fuel tank I got a very fast freeze

5. when some items disappeared on the ground i got a fast freeze.

My frame-rate was godd 60-40-30 (30-35-40 on the cities as normal. They are busy stuff for my pc)

Today I was sitting into the tower and I noted ... clouds outside !
I sortied and clouds were still there but my frame rate was really bad
some freeze were still there too.

To 'solve' i choose a new field or i logout and re-login into the game (not remember well)
and clouds disappeared -  but freezes are there (for this i'm doing some homeworks ... )

So,  gentleman what's going on ?

TY

P.S.

A question - yet asked by others players but i forgot the answers.
Why it's not possible to have an AH version for low pc?
2.27 works good for example.

 Lulu,

To answer your questions a dxdiag printout is needed,if you post 1 already then just supply the link.

It's difficult to say whats going on without knowing your computer specs, this is where the dxdiag comes in.

A complete DXDIAG output is really needed for this.

Everything you described relates to resource issues with the computer.  What causes them is a many headed monster and difficult to pin point without comprehensive data about the computer.

I assumed you reinstalled the operating system.  Did you load the motherboard drivers immediately after the operating system installation?  That must be done before any other drivers are installed.  That is but one example of what can impact computer performance.

Mobo's drivers gone with old hard disk !     :uhoh

Mobo is an msi 7301 v.1

What about others players who confirmed the behaviour of the clouds as abug ?
Until today i had no problem and when I played I listened my music too.
Same installation as before i suppose.

I had Vista at the beginning. After I partitioned the Hd and I installed Xp on the new partition.
I deleted vista and installed xp again. Is it possible that mobo's drivers come with vista installation?
In every case form Packard-Bell I downloaded some drivers but now the site is closed because
a lot's of time is gone.

You can find the motherboard drivers from the manufacturer's site. Or, if you have a "brand" PC like HP, Dell, Fujitsu, PackardBell (your computer, if the mobo is to judge) or such, on their support site. In either case you'd need the exact model to find the right drivers.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Clouds are separate from this and Hitech knows all about the performance issues with them.

Windows operating systems come with generic chipset drivers.  A computer will run with them, but not well and some features may actually not work at all.  Without the native motherboard drivers, your computer could manifest performance degradations and stability issues, when under a load.

I can say, with utmost certainty, your computer will not run at its best without the native motherboard drivers.

"Without the native motherboard drivers, your computer could manifest performance degradations and stability issues, when under a load."

Right.

But in past time my pc worked quite well with AH, and probably it operated with drivers from os installation,
because i deleted the original vista installation.

I played yestarday: mean framerate about 50 fps but when somebody (not everybody) appeared on the deck
there were a rapid freeze.

In every case, I don't want to bother with this story - I just reinstalled the damned thing 3 times; checked cpu percentage (it is 0% without ch stuff in or 3, 4, 5 % with ch stuff in).

I hope in the future.

P.S.

Just one thing. Why I have no clouds or I have clouds when before sortie I look around out of the maproom?
Is it an automated new feature?

NEWS ...

With the last update freezings are went down.
I still have some but rarely.   :airplane:

1. The game loading (tower part) is faster now.  :old:

2. The few freezing I have not are similar to those I had in the past - flying on cities with ordes.
Nothing to wining too much, excpetd for one kind  that i have when my plane spots
some other planes I suppose. In these occasion I noted that the other plane is of the type of my plane
but I have on a different skin. In this occasion I got just one freeze no multiple one. It happens
when my plane and the other enter in contact.

Over all freezings passed for 80% to 2% or 5% for one time sortie.   :x

p.s.:
when clouds in , frame rate dropped more and more bad than in vers. 2.27.
