I would be careful with some of those profiles. They're a tad "too" colorful....

Just going by the photos, THIS seems much more reasonable:

than this over-saturated, overly-bright, profile:

Can't wait to see your work! It will be a great addition!

I've finished skinning the bird below, and I'm about done with a tan desert scheme bird.

That is a very cool skin, cactus.  I hope to be able to use it soon!   :aok

CACTUS! You nearly gave me a heart attack!

Here I am, getting started on my 111 skins and you throw one up that looks just like it! I had to do a double take to be sure.

On the other hand, it looks amazing.  :aok

On the first page of this thread, Lyric's favourite plane the KG54 with the bunny rabbit on the fin. The profile has a red B, yet the photo below it, to me, show's a yellow B.  Would anyone be able to shed light on why the too would be so different? Am I colour blind, is the yellow in fact red?

Appreciate any input.

You are not color blind, they are different. The first is the artists rendition, the second is an actual photo. In a situation like this I'm going to say trust the photo.

It is a red B.
The colour quality is faded on the aircraft. From what I found on the threads where I got the information this question was bought up as well yellow or red. Now the skull is clearly white in the photo not yellow like the decals show. Also only one side has the letter E not both sides of the plane.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Lyric, so the skull should be yellow?

Just playing devils advocate here, if the B is red, and the photo faded as suggested wouldn't it fade to a pinkish colour?

Also the E seems to me to be a partially  over painted B, I base this on the fact that the squadron code is B3.

Thanks for the info.

I would have to dig about for the link but the skulls are white from what I remember. There was a lot of debate as to if the colour quality of the film & if it was really up to scratch as well.
The first profile I posted is supposed to be correct.
You right had not noticed it was a cut off B.

Few links on the Skull nose art from this unit it looks like they may have used yellow & white based off of the black & white pictures & this last one in colour some dark shade.?

Maybe different for each squadron of this group?
