Field of view setting under video options

can any1 explain how exactly FO effects game play and whats the best FO for 1300x900 resolution...

FOV is a personal preference. Use the default setting to start and compare that to narrower and wider settings to see which you prefer.

think of it as looking out a big window with both eyes and an unobstructed view...then gradually making the window smaller.

Not so long ago there was a thread about this. IIRC HT said the FOV setting should be set according to the physical dimensions of your screen and viewing distance, not according to the resolution.
