Custom Built
Intel Core I7 2800K CPU 3.44GHz
Ram corsair 20GB
System 64bit
Two XFX GTX 590s
motherboard: Asus Maximus IV
Monitor - Dell 30inch
Sound Card Asus Xonar stx
case phantom NZXT
SSD for the I-7
Pair of 1.5TB western digitals raided
powersupply Corsair 850Watt
two 2TB Western digital external drives for backup and storage

If I had to build this system all voer again I would in a heart beat, only difference would be the motherboard, first one was DOA as the second one.

Im not a fan of the oversized PSUs, but is that 850W Corsair enough for those dual 590s? I mean, each of them eats like 300 watts under full load...

Heres my system:
custom built (Frankencheapo)
cheap case
Gigabyte 780 series micro-atx board
PhenomII x2 555 unlocked, runs as a quad core now, at 3.8 GHz, undervoltaged - what a luck i had there
CM Hyper212+ cooler
4*2GB Kingston ddr-1600
Hd-5830
2 WD 750GB HDDs
64 gigs OCZ Agility II
Cooler Master 500W PSU
win7

kinda old, kinda slow, but was kinda cheap and enough for what im using it for.

Like most here, custom-built;

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit
Computer Case: NZXT M59
Power Supply: Seasonic X750
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX r2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8320 @ 4.5GHz
-Cooler: Corsair H80i
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x 4gb) DDR3-1600
Hard drive: WD Black 1TB
Video Card: Sapphire 7970 OC (w/ Boost)
Monitor: ASUS 24" VS248H-P 1080p
Keyboard: Logitech G19 (w/ Logitech G13 gamepad)
Mouse: Logitech G700
Sound: Logitech X530 5.1 Speakers (w/ Logitech G35 headset)
Controls: Logitech 3D Pro + Logitech G27 Racing Wheel/Pedals

As for how well AMD runs, I haven't had much testing done with the FX in AH but an offline test showed an average of ~65FPS with the following settings a few months back. I would have to re-test online and with my current settings (some small changes in OC and in-game settings) to get an accurate sample though.  :)

Antec server case, custom painted inside and out, whit a Spit9 hand painted on the plexi window
MSI Z77-G45 Thunderbolt mobo
Intel 3770 K core i7 @ 4.0 ghz
8 Gb corsair Vengance ram
120 Gb Corsair Force Ssd Sata 6 gb
2Tb WD Black Hdd
1 Tb WD Black Hdd
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 660 ti
Xion 1000 watt power supply
Windows 7 Ultimate  x64 SP1
LG DVD burner
System boots to ready to use in 17 seconds :)

For anyone who doesn't know Xion puts out some really good high watt PS's at REALLY reasonable prices...$100-110 for a 1 Kw PS. I have one in each of my builds, and nary a problem.

Skuzzy, why 4 HD's?

I also run 4 HD's.  1 x 250 GB for OS and applications, 1 x 250 GB for storage (documents, photos, media, etc.), 1 x 500 GB mirrors discs 1 and 2 and 1 x 500 GB network backup (including standard windows backup of discs 1 and 2).
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Skuzzy, why 4 HD's?

Statistically the smaller hard drives are less prone to failure, over time.  I can also spread the Windows swap file across those drives.  I also have 8TB of storage on my network.  It is mostly for video work.

Custom built in 2005, video card has been upgraded multiple times:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400
Windows XP Pro
2gb RAM
Four 10000rpm SCSI drives in RAID 5
One 500gb SATA hard drive (bulk storage)
Radeon HD 6900
19" 1440x900 display
Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS
SimPED Vario Pro pedals

I very, very much want to build a new system, but the money just isn't there for it.
