Free to a Good Home...err, Squad.
« on: December 02, 2013, 02:13:37 PM »
Newb here - been playing online for a few weeks now (a few months here and there offline over the past couple years before buying a decent enough rig to venture online), and I feel like I'd progress more quickly (and have more fun) if I had a squad with which to fly.  I don't have any one particular squad in mind, but here's some relevant info:

-  USA - Eastern Time Zone
-  Currently fly Rook, but country is unimportant to me at this time
-  I seem to enjoy flying good turn fighters (A6M3 & KI84 have been the bulk of my recent sorties), though I am not averse to flying new planes
-  I enjoy the occasional bombing run - no opposition to a long range buff run that takes a couple hours (so long as bathroom breaks are allowed...and the gf-ack has mercy on me)
-  I fly just about any week night after 18:00 EST, and pretty much any time on the weekends
-  I. Am. Terrible.  I'd be best suited in a patient, newb-friendly squad that embraces teaching and doesn't mind someone with a ghastly K/D tagging along...hell, wouldn't it make you beam with pride to watch a crappy newb grow into a killer stick under your tutelage? ;)
-  Vox-ready, etc. - I'd rather not have to install Teamspeak or Ventrillo if it's not absolutely necessary.

So, what say you, squads of AH2?  Any takers?

Give the 353rd Fg a try ! We take newbs on and teach them to become better with themselves as well as get as much out of the game as you can .. If not, the JG 54 will also be a good bet . they are a great bunch to fly with .. We both fly FSO on fridays and love to have fun. Check us out at WWW.slybirds.com and check ouot JG 54 on this page !  You wont go wrong ..

Hey new guy!

the 8th AAF is recruiting as well, we fly Knights and on ch 108 typically.

Most of us are buff pilots with a few escort fighter jocks, but it's a relatively new squad that's all about having some fun. Our squad may be merging with another so we'll have a few more pilots online. it's always more fun to fly with a buddy!

Thanks Bear!   Your check's in the mail   ;)

We tried to scare Slider during our squad night Saturday, but since we drew about 50% absenteeism  it didn't work and we ended up acting like the big family we are.  So far so good and enjoying flying with the MusicMan.
