What skin is that?  Is that a custom?

It appears to be a skin issue as none of the three skins we have exhibit it, in the game.

There is a new light gray Yak-9U skin doing the exact same thing. Wings shimmer like polished alabaster.

Then some of the new skins are much more drab and dark than I suspect their creators thought they were the last time they inspected them before the release. There is a green La7 skin that seems is showing a lumen value darker and drabber than it's creator intended. Greebo's new La5 skin had better color resolution in the previews he showed in the custom skins forum. Some of the P38 skins are very dark like they flew behind a coal burning trains exhaust for awhile. The p51 and p47 turned out ok.

The Lanc skin is my 463 Sqn RAAF one, skin number LANC30104172013.

Also the grey Yak-9U is my 6 GvIAP one, skin number YAK9U0111252013.

This effect did not show up in the viewer or the game offline before I submitted it but I haven't checked the skins online. It looks like the game has applied 100% specularity and environment effects to the skin. Did you have bump-mapped skins turned on or off? If turned off the game has ignored the material.txt file, if turned on it has ignored the bumpmat.txt or the spec map files.

This may be a side effect of our change to loading the bump maps on a thread instead of waiting for them to be loaded.  I could see this happening if the system is having resource issues, or if it is simply taking a long time to load everything.
