The current state of the alpha testing.
« on: September 11, 2014, 02:55:32 PM »
A sample of what the game currently looks like.

Our testing is been moving along nicely, we have a good base line of information on system performance, and have worked the major graphic engine bug issues.

We are now on to lots of small items that need to be updated and addressed, along with the complete art set rebuild of all terrain objects that we have been working on for the past 6 months.

I really liked the going over the curb effect.  That is a nice touch.  Oh man, it's looking oh so sweet! :x  I hope we can knock down the electric/telephone poles with our tanks if need be. :)  And those poles give me an idea. :D

Edit: Is it possible to destroy the bridges? Or are they indestructable?

Shadows look real nice and will be nice in the cockpit also. I watched a show "Brain Games" and learned how important shadows are to perspective.  :aok

Beautiful work! I especially like the details like the light and power poles, and the arched bridges ( ;) but what happened to the street signs LOL.)

Speaking of bridges, my hope is that a north-south and east-west bridge will be included to match the 660' verts in the new terrain engine. A skilled terrain builder should be able to install them properly even in a Main Arena terrain.

Can we have another trailer for the countryside? How is the work progressing in the open areas between fields? Are the supply roads still being laid down like waypoints shown in that early video awhile back? Are there large corps of trees intermingled with grass fields built into the ground types, or better yet, true forests?

Yeah I know I'm a PITA and after I mop up the drool at such thoughts I'll be able to focus on any dress-down directed my way.

Easy in-game again.

Not bad.

One thing that did stand out to me though was the way it only showed a high quality ground texture for a few feet around the tank (Best seen as the tank slows down in the town) . Is this going to be a scalable option? and if so how far out will it extendable?
