BBS message preview window

BBS preview post window does not open. It says fetching preview and nothing happens. Waited 10 minutes and gave up. Posted message anyway.
This just started 2 days ago.

Are you using Internet Exploere? Did you update it lately? I have to run it in "compatibility mode" for certain things to work right.

By the way, I hit "preview" and it worked for me.

I stand corrected. My first reply was from an iPAD. From my gaming machine running Win7, the preview isn't coming up.

Yes I'm using Windows IE version 8. I'm still using Windows XP Pro SP3.
That's the limit for XP. Never had a problem until a few days ago. 

Planning on a new puter with my tax refund. Already bought the OS - Win7 Ultimate 64 bit.

You know, this isn't a bug with the game. It doesn't really belong in the game bug forum. It sounds like perhaps a recent update of the BBS software doesn't like to play nice with many browsers anymore.

Were you trying to reply to a thread with a really long title? The 80 character limit is for thread titles.

Yes, that thread  subject is too long, shorten it.

Interestingly, the preview works when writing personal messages on the BBS - only with forum messages it doesn't work at all.

It seems the last update from SMF broke this feature.
