P47M Drop tank`
« on: March 02, 2015, 03:24:20 PM »
I think that this is a bug.

On P47M when you pick the dual 75 gallon drop tanks, the first tank shows (and runs?) as a 150 gallon tank.  (second tank shows half  -- 76)

On P47M when you pick the dual 150 gallon drop tanks, the first tank shows (and runs?) as a 301 gallon tank.  (second tank shows half  -- 150)

The single shows as 75.

Assumption is, based on info in hanger, that the dual tanks should be the same.

Is this a SysError training issue?

Just saw the same thing in a 110g-2.

If I understand what you're saying correctly, you mean the number listed in the secondary weapon's box in the cockpit right?

In that case, this isn't a bug, it's just how the game groups together the drop tanks. Drop tanks of the same volume are listed together the same way bombs of the same weight are listed together. The number is just telling you the total amount of fuel you have available in those drop tanks. For example, your 2x150 gallon tanks are listed as 301 (I guess they don't hold exactly 150 gallons) and your 2x75 gallon tanks are listed as 150 when full. If you take up an aircraft that can take drop tanks of multiple volumes like the P-47M, you'll see that you'll have multiple drop tanks to cycle through.

It is showing your grouping... You can drop both 150 at the same time, or you can drop a single 150. Giving you drop options  :bolt: not a bug...

One can actually run a left or right 150 dry (for whatever reason) and drop the single empty tank.

Shift-F switches to manual selection of fuel tanks and the fuel tank will be listed as yellow on your cockpit gauge.

Hope that helps.

On the D-25 and up, the two wing tanks capacity is added together. The fuel is burned from each tank equally. The center tank is listed as it's own tank. All fuel tank start out showing the tanks capacity +1 gallon so a 75 gallon is would show as a 76 gallon in the secondary box. The wing points would show as total gallons +2 (+1 for each tank).

There is no bug, everything is working as it should.
