Thank you all for the kind words! I really miss this community and catch myself referring to it over and over again.  I will try to keep up with the BBS!

Update, got my last evaluation in for the year. Over the course of the year I average a level 4 teacher (scale of 1-5, 5 being the "best"). 

Good to hear from you Banshee, the TA is not the same without you

I hope you make them take their hats off in class. My Dad is a recently retired teacher. Even though the kids were allowed to chew gum and wear hats in class... Not in his. He is olde school.

He made them all stand for the pledge until he was threatened over it by the school admin. He's a Vietnam vet.

It gets tough some days! The age difference makes some of them believe I am there to be their friends, but I quickly put a stop to it.  And no I haven't had the chance to really look into it. I remember half of what it was about, but I've been so far separated from here that I never looked into it.  Send me a message reminding me!
