Low FPS and Stutters
« on: April 10, 2017, 10:24:40 AM »
Since the last two patches FPS drops from the usual 90 FPS in VR to 20-30, and occasionally single digits, after a few minutes flying around the TA at A1.

With DX9 or DX11 and no VR the same thing happens. FPS starts around 180 and ends up in the 20's. Even when the frame rate is 60+ I get pauses and stutters now.

Other games seem to run the same as before.

I installed an older version of AH3 and I have the same low FPS problem so it's probably something on my end. The only recent changes were adding Oculus Touch and updating Oculus to 1.13.

OK now, back to normal. Apparently a video driver issue and driver cleaner fixed it.

One would think, that after all these years, AMD and NVidia would finally figure out how to install their drivers without users having to dance around in odd positions in order for a driver installation to work correctly.

Next thing you know we will have to sacrifice a bologna sammich to the video card entities before they will let it work in your computer.

Or it might have been a change in maps and or a particular location on a map.
