The Latest Patch

Unable to download the latest patch and now locked-out of the game. The patch fails to load. Any knowledge of this AH?

You can download the full game and install it on top of your current installation.

Need a bit more explanation.  What version of the game is being shown in the upper left corner of the start up screen?

Does the game detect it needs to be upgraded?
If it does, what happens when you press the button to start the upgrade?
