In spite of what the jpeg properties say ..... it looks more like a layer of clouds (or fog) and a cargo ship. The clouds may be hiding the island that King Kong resided on and that cargo ship appears to be set up to transport him ... once they clear the deck of the Spitfire.

from the spacing of the rivets and the angle of the slope on that thingy i would have to say  its a hurricane mk 1 somewhere over the english channel (note the third rivet up in AH's hurricane is 1.2 mm to the left of where it should be)
