BTW...Did someone from the Seattle area just call Oregonians "web-footers"?

Well, my ROOTS are Minnesota, you know, 10 ft. of snow and 40 below?  But I guess I have to consider myself a web-footer now that I've lived here 25 years.

(BTW, it snowed here on Saturday night as well, stuck on the ground until about 9am)

I'm still going to work with no jacket and Bermuda shorts.

Fantastic weather here so far.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

Looks like an average winter here in the north country. You Johnny Rebs need to come on up here in the middle of January and go ice fishing. Is an interesting experience if you've never walked on water before. :)

Aye, thks, flying into Ft. Lauderdale (used to live there in the 70's for a short time) to meet up with me mum and her boyfriend. Taking his new RV up to Orlando the next day. 5 days at "World", then return to Ft.Lauderdale to fly home.

Ice fishing: An excuse to get really drunk and get away from the wife.

It's like that cold stuff you use to cool your "mint juleps"

We have lots lying around right now, the forcast for today is -21c
(-21 degree Celsius = -5.8 degree Fahrenheit), all of our "mint juleps" are already chilled..

:aok

What would any "it's snowing" or "it's cold" thread be without someone from Minnesota chiming in.

In the military, you could be in -20 degree (F) weather with a -40 degree wind chill factor freezing your bellybutton off on the flight line and still hear the following exchange:

Airman1: It's fricking cold
Airman2: This aint cold.  In Minnesota this is t-shirt weather
Airman1: Oh yea?  Then give me your parka.
Airman3: Well... we're not in Minnesota.

To be honest, Rain and 38 deg. is ALOT colder than snowing and 20 deg.
